Keith originally trained as an engineer before moving into management where he has worked in a wide variety of functions, largely in ICT, Telecoms and customer service industries. He has considerable senior management and director experience in the SME and corporate sectors with a board level background in executive, non-executive and nominee director roles. His principle focus and specialism is in supporting the owners, directors and senior management teams of growth companies, both as a non-executive director and as a High Growth Coach. Keith has supported businesses on the leading grant funded high growth coaching programmes in the East of England and East Midlands since their inception in 2006 In this capacity, he has taken one business to the Sunday Times 100 Fastest Growing Companies listing and another the subject of a full page review in the business pages of the Daily Express in October 2011.

Through these roles, Keith has developed a full understanding of the tensions and challenges of growth within SMEs where the management team is often faced by a variety of challenges with significant time and skills pressures. /During his time as a senior executive, Keith was instrumental in setting up a worldwide telecoms customer service infrastructure, account management of multi-million pound corporate accounts, delivery of major ICT projects for corporate clients and business transformation programmes. His earlier management career was in managing field engineering service teams which peaked at around 3000 which gives him broad appreciation of leadership challenges. Since 2004, he has run his own business advisory and consultancy company which has enabled him to establish a wide insight into the challenges facing businesses in today’s tough economic times.

Keith has a first degree in Electronics and Computing and a Master of Business Administration second degree. He is Chair of the East Midlands Group of Institute for Independent Business accredited professionals and an active Member of the Institute of Directors. He has also attended many leadership development modules at leading academic business institutions with focus on business transformation, change and strategic leadership. Despite all this, he believes that his success is based upon harnessing his wide practical experience and understanding to help and challenge SMEs when and where needed.

Keith is a lifelong sportsman and currently competes in orienteering and running.
