Michael is a widely experienced Director of Plc businesses focused in engineering, technology, construction and management – both Executive and Non Executive at Chairman and CEO levels. His range of skills includes strategic planning, operational and change management, mergers & acquisitions, HR, marketing and sales. Whilst engaged for over 20 years on the Boards of very dynamic large businesses, he also has experience in driving small businesses through rapid growth into fully listed Plcs.

He is a graduate in Civil Engineering, Chartered and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers. His early career was spent on large projects including responsibility for Gatwick Airport – Terminal 2 for BAA and a two year period living in Iraq on a major infrastructure project for the World Bank. He spent 16 years with the Mouchel Group became a Partner, Director and Chairman of the UK business. This was followed by 9 years with White Young Green as Group Managing Director. In more recent times, he ran Capita Business Services, the largest division within the Capita Group with a revenue in excess of £700m and a staff of 10,000. This period included the development of many large scale outsourcing deals for businesses such as the BBC and for the UK Government. And at Jacobs, he was Managing Director with particular emphasis on Energy, Water, Environmental, International, Facilities in UK and India. In this period, he repositioned the business from 12th to 2nd in these sectors. /He is currently Non Executive Chairman of VoxGen, a rapidly growing business specialising in voice recognition and biometrics already securing major contracts with UK Plcs. The Non Executive Chairman of Simeio, a rapidly growing SME with unique biometrics/time/gps product currently in use by uk major contractors and on trial with Barclays and NHS. And most recently has been appointed as a Non Executive Director of Resourcing Solutions.

During his career, he has developed significant experience leading over 25 mergers and acquisitions over past 10 years. This has involved the whole spectrum from search through transaction to company integration. /He is the immediate past Chairman of The Association for Consultancy and Engineering – the UK Business Trade Association for the industry and Non Exec Director of EFCA – the European equivalent based in Brusse
