Owen is a Non-Executive Director, Part–time Executive, and Consultant with massive experience of working with SMEs, and owner-managed businesses in particular. Owen has been a partner/solicitor in mid-sized law firms (themselves SMEs) for over 20 years, with considerable experience of Management Board roles, managing Business Client teams, Business Development and IT, mergers/acquisitions.

He has advised many clients on sales, acquisitions, and through the entire intellectual property business life cycle, as well as being involved more directly within companies .

Owen’s main strengths lie in :

Advising Companies needing strategies and assistance with delivering or implementing Intellectual Property creation, protection , collaboration or exploitation through a variety of business models;
Helping to plan and to implement strategies for exit; his pre-exit involvement has been in many sectors, including IT ( both hardware and software), e-business ( B2B and B2C), healthcare, creative, technology and traditional engineering sectors;
Managing succession issues, such as in family-owned companies;
‘Grooming’ for sale, given his knowledge of the final legal process leading to completion, and his experience in doing so for many business owners. /Owen has also been a Trustee or Chairman of various publically funded and charitable organisations.
