Richard is an experienced CEO, non executive director and dealmaker with international perspective and insight into creating and sustaining value in technology-rich growth businesses at all stages of investment through to exit. These businesses have included both revenue earning and pre-cash breakeven companies (seed-early-late stage venture capital) & absolute focus on growth (revenues, personnel, market share).

He has start-up to listed investment plc CEO experience, with extended personal board level City, UK and international corporate/financial network. Extensive fund raising links and holds FCA Approved Person status for investment management. Richard has set up and led onshore and offshore Investment Funds focused on general technology growth sectors, including ICT, nanotechnology, biometrics, and vision systems as well as specific funds in Defence and Homeland Security.

Richard is accustomed to working internationally with company founders, management teams, investors and stakeholders. Hands on experience with both the successes and the scars to deliver both credibly and consistently. He has worked at senior levels in both private technology businesses and public multinational companies, including BAE Systems and latterly as CEO of a listed plc. Richard has been a director of over 10 companies both on- and off-shore, in some cases as founder, successfully exiting many of them.

Richard is currently a Non Executive Director of Image Scan Holdings plc (AIM:IGE) and of Infinity Wireless Limited. He is Investment Director of Boundary Capital LLP as well as directorships with Alexander Bain & Associates, The PGH Partnership LLP and Greybrook Limited.

Richard is an Entrepreneurship Fellow at Durham University Business School, a distance learning tutor for Entreprenuership at Warwick Business School and a mentor for the Ignite Programme for the Judge Business School in Cambridge. He is a guest judge (2012-date) for the China Students and Scholars Association UK (CHECUK) Entrepreneurship Competition held in China each year.
