Steve’s experience is in director, partner and senior executive roles developing business, organisations and people across several key sectors from small start-up companies and SMEs to global organisations. His experience extends into multi-stakeholder, diverse, complex businesses and major commercial projects to individual interventions and advisory.
Steve’s background is in technology, business and management consulting having started in technology then moving through into consulting, management and business development. As a partner with several key organisations his focus was on developing operational effectiveness through technology in the manufacturing, and high tech industries as well as public sector but mainly into the financial services. He has therefore worked for and with some of the world’s major organisations but also several SME’s at board level and as advisor, investor and board member, as well and non-executive director, at several start-ups in the UK and Europe. His main claim to fame however was to develop and lead the implementation of the now ubiquitous chipcard technology and services into the UK.
His management and leadership credentials span several decades having managed several businesses across the globe leading multi-disciplined teams and diverse cultures. He also helped develop and grow those businesses both from a front-end sales perspective as well restructuring, acquiring and selling companies. In addition, he has developed and managed several key partners and alliances to develop the ecosystem of organisations to respond to complex organisational requirements, as well as managing many key clients over the years.
More recently Steve has focused his attention to organisation and leadership development helping companies develop greater understanding and effectiveness in these areas. This is combined with his knowledge and experience of managing teams, restructuring and aligning organisation both intra and inter-organisational. He is also founder and managing director of Casuga Consulting offering organisation effectiveness and works as an associate with several key organisations and academic institutions in the field of organisation and leadership development. He joins NXD as Regional Director for the East of England with the intention of focusing on helping individuals become non-executive directors, also to increase the knowledge and understanding for SMEs to more effectively recruit and ultilise non-execs into their organisation structure.
